WYLD Mud Run and Family Fun

Carlos ran his first 5K today at the WYLD Mud Run!! He did so awesome finishing at 01:10! The kids and I had a great time watching him when we could see him and cheering him on. I was so mad we weren't fast enough to get on the right side of the finish line when he crossed, there was a barrier in the way :( so I have these instead!

Izabella then went to my Mom's house and made a lemon meringue pie, she had been asking to learn how to separate eggs since my Mom had mentioned it a few weeks prior. They had a great time and the pie turned out delicious.

Carlos, Anthony and I went to Carlos' Grandmother's (Mita's) house. We had a BBQ with Carlos' Sister, his Mom, our brother in law and nephew Kaedin! Anthony and Kaedin had so much fun playing in the pool while we ate and talked.

Such a wonderful day!

Greek Festival

Every year a local church puts on the Greek Festival. They have lots of food, dancing and fun! It's always an excuse for us to spend some quality time together.

Monsters University

To start off I love the movie Monsters Inc.  When I found out they were making a sequel, I started counting the days until it can out. I found out that instead of a midnight premier on June 21st they were doing a 8:00pm on the 20th I was over the moon excited. I made sure Carlos was free and bought our tickets on Wednesday. I didn't want it to be sold out...

Thursday comes the kids are excited I am barely breathing with a 100 degree fever but NOTHING was going to stop me. We leave the house at 7 (thank you Mom for always making me early and anxious if i might be on time) we went and bought candy at the gas station went back to pick up Carlos at home, I made him rush because I was worried that we wouldn't be able to get 4 seats together or they would be way up front. Well we walk into the theater and it was empty and the credits were still running from the movie before...
I was happy we got to have any choice of seats. Carlos and the kids - not so happy about having to wait 30 minutes for the trailers to start. I am never going to get Carlos I go some where early with me again. The movie was cute I don't think I was as in love with it as Monsters Inc. but we had a good time all together and I learned a lesson on my anxiety of being late.

Carnival Adventures

We went to the carnival with my Step-Dad Chip and Carlos met us when we got out of work. It was hot but there was barely anyone there so we didn't have to wait in any lines. It was awesome!

Last day of Karate

The kids participated in Karate at their school this year. Anthony loved it as he would get to stay until 3 on Wednesdays and then do Karate after. On the last day they got to break boards!!

Bubbles with Anthony

Bubble fun with Anthony! We had a bubble gun and decided to try it out, it worked horribly at first but I some how managed to get it to make some great bubbles. I'm going to miss these afternoons with just Anthony waiting for Izabella to get home.

School play

Izabella was a raccoon and Anthony was in the chorus. They did an amazing job and were so cute!!

All I want for Christmas

Is my two front teeth!!

Izabella lost her first tooth on Mother's Day. Two days before she turned 6. She had a little help from Carlos and then two weeks later she waited for Carlos to come home from a trip and that day the next one came out!!

Izabella's Sixth Birthday

I can't believe our little girl is 6!! I feel like it was just yesterday that we brought her home from the hospital. 7lbs 0oz 19 3/4inches long. She was perfect, a miracle to our families. She couldn't have come at a better time for Carlos and I. I don't want to think what my life could have been without her. I have grown up so much in the last six years, she taught me how to truly love.

This past year we have gone through many things together, we learned a lot together. I think it's true when they say all you really need to know in life you learn in Kindergarten. She learned to read, write, add, subtract and multiply. She learned how to stand up for herself when needed and when I walk away. She had to learn about gun violence and how to be a friend.

I think the most important thing was when I asked her what love is she told me "Love is when you like someone so much it turns to love and that love can't be broken."

From a few days old:

To three years old

To six years old. Happy birthday Izabella!

May 13, 2013

When we bought our house I didn't know I was pregnant with Anthony, Izabella was less then a year old. Instead of having a big wedding we took the money and put it into our house to make a home. We figured it would be the gift that kept on giving. Our five year plan didn't expect the market to crash and to have another baby within the year but most of the time I'm happy we are here.

I would be back here again but...

Noone ever told me I would be back here writing again but I am. I tried a few other blogs like tumblr, what is wrong with most of the people on there. It scared me so I completely deleted it all.. Scary..

Now I don't know if my life is exciting enough to be writing about day by day for other people to read but I want to write and post pictures to keep a diary of sorta for Carlos and the kids.  I want to be able to print this every year into a book filled with stories and pictures so our kids can look through it one day and remember all the little things that I probably won't and also how very very loves they are. Some posts will probably be short others long so if I have anybody still looking at this that's my purpose.
